Figuring Out God's Will

in my quest to find a church, find my life's path, God's will for me, i found it timely for my Sunday sermon to be themed on this topic. Pastor Earl Palmer suggested that you ask yourself these questions:

1. what do you want to do?

2. what's stopping you from doing it?

3. what do your friends say?

interesting how the question wasnt phrased as NEED but WANT. most of the time, what i wanted ended up to be something i shouldn't have pursued. jaded by life's circumstances questions one's trust in his/her own judgements. . . what do you do with that?! praying for Gods will kinda puts you back at question 1. conundrum.
